The one thing about photography these days, is that it's not all about knowing your camera. Ok, that sounds strange, but the fact is, there is so much more involved. Even if you are just getting into digital photography, you are realizing that at some point you will be facing a computer - whether it be yours, or a touch screen one at your local printers.
As a professional photographer the tables turn all the more. I can find that at least 50%, depending on a shoot is spent at the computer afterwards. The combination of uploading, culling, and renaming files are only the beginning strokes at the computer, from there on out it can range wildley. With weddings, I will average 40 hours at the computer on a single wedding. But in the end, I am happy with the final product, and I feel I am giving the couple a very well organized, fully edited, complete package. Something that literaly would have taken months of time and shipments years ago if done on film, can now be accomplished in hours, with files that can be reproduced in moments.
And since every post is better with a picture, this shot is of the barn at the Red Barn Fruit Farm in Arkona. This was actually taken on a very dreary day, once again though, it's amazing what you can do post production!
