Branding

Branding with Name and comment, normally I use
"Bringing Your Most Treasured Memories Into Focus"
And Just The Brand..
One of the big things in business is "branding" - There's your name, your logo, and...your brand.  Basically the brand is something that when people see this symbol, they would think of you.  So I've been playing around in photoshop a bit with some royalty free clip arts of pacifiers and engagement rings - this is what I came up with so far.

Optical Illusion

These little cuties are almost 1 1/2 years old - did you catch that...I said "years"! But they are still so tiny. Welcome the Ferrier twins...and yes - they are identical!

Hanging out with the VBS help!

Jordan and Simeon were around all week long at the Forest Baptist VBS program, helping out with games,or duties as needed...or singing, which by the way was an incredible privelige to be able to listen to. So today, between games and the closing of VBS we got together and did a very brief shoot. I'd like to introduce these two gentlemen: Jordan and Simeon!

Family Beach Time !

What a fun time down at the beach with John and Heidi and Family! The kids were absolutely models in training, and I loved their bright smiles! There are so many things to say...but I've got several other jobs on the go, including Mommy jobs...so since a picture is worth a thousand words, here's my essay :)

How To...leave comments

So, it has come to my attention through a number of people that they are not quite sure how to leave comments on the blog...or, in some situations, don't really understand what a blog is. So, to define blog, let me simi quote "wiki"...pedia - A Blog is a semi website maintained by an individual - the difference being, it is regularily updated. The Captured Innocence Photography Blog is updated regularily, with pictures of different shoots I'm doing, information, experiments, and maybe a few useless tidbits thrown in here and there as well...but I'll try to keep that to a minimum.
When talking with couples preparing for their wedding, I will generally refer them to the blog as it gives a consistant look at my work, rather than simply 30-40 pictures in a one time collection on the portfolio.
Being that we are such an immediate society and love to see our pictures right away, I also like to post a few pictures for new parents of their little ones, which allows them to show off their little miracles right away with family and friends - the last 4 babies I managed to miss out on due to business, but did send the families immediate emails with pictures :) - I have a cool little collection idea planned for those amazing creations though!!
Back to the topic at hand though, part of the reason for a blog is for feedback, input, and contact with "cyberspace". As I posted a little while ago, it was amazing to see that my site has been viewed in at least 10 different countries - I think that is so cool, and would love to hear from you, hear how you found me and any ideas you may have...because whether you know it or not, you have found a site developed in a town of 600 people :)
So here's a visual on how to leave a comment, (just click comments, a window will pop up, and you're good to go)
love to hear from you!

Wedding Party Day!

Shawn and Kassy on their lovin' party day!

Shawn & Kassy

Today's forcast - 60% chance of rain through out the day. So I thought, well, I guess I'll get that rain puddle reflection shot I've had in the back of my mind - didn't happen. Instead - perfect weather for wedding day pictures! Shawn and Kassi were terrific, a fun couple, with a very supportive wedding party as well. Thanks for a great day you two - here's just a glimpse of your day...and now, I'm off to sleep!

Anita

I met up with the beautiful Anita this morning. I was taking pictures for a VBS in Thedford this morning, so we met up there and headed up town. Years ago the train ran through Thedford, I remember the tracks through my public school years especially - this is the building next to where the tracks where - and I believe it's the old station building - though I'm not positive on that one. The building itself has some incredible textures to it, and when Anita showed up I thought - perfect! This would be the perfect mix to try some off camera flash shots with neat textures, and a beautiful model!

Wedding at Fanshawe Park Village

Today's wedding took place at Fanshawe Pioneer Village - a beautiful location and a great couple.
ps. Garrison was going to be Bradley's name, right up until about 2 weeks prior to his birth.

The Rumfords

Now here's a family that gets together just for the fun of it! With today's busy schedules rushing here and there you don't see this a lot. But despite the schedules of work and play this family make the time to get together...often - and have fun doing it! This is the Rumfords - a very special family to me, and it was an honour to do their pictures for them!

Stats

I decided to take a look at some of my stats on my website today, and for interest sake, see what countries are viewing it - I was shocked: If it's hard to see here it reads like this: Canada 13376, US 1586, Netherlands 94, Spain 93, South Korea 62, Great Britain 68, Russia 3, Germany 3, Japan 1, Molaysia 71, France 71, and New Zealand 71. That's pretty cool!

Michael Andrew Contest Entries

Catagory: People - processed with MA Paintballer Pro

Category: Nature From last nights storm

Category: Macro A Very Special Ring!

Category:Abstract - Farm Impliment Spring Showing Depth Of Field
Lollipoped with MA Lollipops

While my daughter is busy submitting her entries to TVO kids to try and win a family pass to see The Sound Of Music in Toronto, I figured I would enter a contest put on by one of my well respected photographers. I didn't figure there was enough time to print the pictures properly, and then have them shipped down to Indianapolis in time for the closing date. So I came up with the idea to use Mpix, a well referred site by big names in the photography industry. I uploaded my pictures, chose the plain white border, included my back printing, and I no longer need to stress over time constraints, my shipped order will arrive in lots of time! Now...If I win...first of all I would be thrilled to be able to say I won a contest with Michael Andrew, and secondly, the prize would be WELL used! Excited? Absolutely!!!

Thomas & Laurie

Their Big Day Arrived! And it was a 90% chance of rain - guess what? It rained - but we were still able to sneak in some outdoor shots when there was a brief break in the rain, after the pictures were finished - it dumped! Our little Amy and Bradley were part of the wedding party as ring barer and flower girl - I was so proud of them - they did excellent - and I'm not exaggerating! Clare O'Riely, my second shooter for today did an excellent job getting in for the shots and really making connection with the wedding party - thanks Clare - you were Great!

Mr. Muscles!

Believe it or not this was probably the most active, strong little man I have ever had the pleasure of photographing. Literally days old...and he can roll over! I had a wonderful time with this little family today, and found out that an announcement I had made for someone was posted on the wall at New Vic and they tracked me down through my "capturedinnocence.ca" markings on the bottom - hmmmm - now I'm curious who's baby that is!

Thedford Funion Days!

My Flying Little Man! No Fear!!
The last one was taken in the hall were the Thedford Firemen where getting prepared to serve their town a yummy meal. My partner photographer and adorable little girl - Amy helped me prepare this shot, simply taken in the hall with a single bounce flash.

Yes - I took a lot of pictures today, and yes some people believe I have a second body - canon no doubt! But I enjoy trying new things...or simply just playing around. I did a couple of trials on some creative shots I'm working on...but these ones were just for fun!

Arkona's Men In Yellow On The Job!

So today was a pretty hot day, and the wind really picked up at times. Unfortunately put these two together and field fire can be disasterous. Fortunatley our Men In Yellow were right on the job! Here's a couple of shots showing the aftermath.
