This Remembrance Day Mr. Clifford Arrand, a World War II Veteran came to Bosanquet to visit, talk to, and answer questions that the kids from grades 1-4 had for him. Cliff is known in our family as Grandpa Cliff, and when he and his wife Grandma Frances agreed to come to speak in my daughters class on Remembrance Day we were very happy. Cliff spent time with the kids, telling a very soft version of his time in the war, being very careful, as he was very concerned of scaring the children. He began with: “ How many of you like to get up in the morning?” A thorough “no” came back to him, to which he responded “well then don’t join the army”. Thank you Cliff!
The video below shows a brief review of Cliff talking to the children and was recorded and edited courtesy of Anne Marie Kierstead, a local videographer who captures memories for her clients in professional DVD quality.
